The entire kurti is designed with Tilla and Zardosi embroidery work. The hemline features a floral scalloped border with a decorative floral band around the edges. The V-neckline features a shield yoke at the central panel that extends down the chest. There are Paan Buttis scattered across the kurti, which is further accented with repetitive diamond-shaped and floral bud motifs. The full-length sleeves feature a minimalist embroidered band at the cuffs. The flared brocade gharara features Gota Patti designs embroidered with silver thread work, and there is a horizontal joint just above the knee. The edges of the gharara show a thin zari border with Paan Butti motifs scattered across it, starting below the horizontal line. The matching dupatta has thin hand-embroidered lace borders on four sides with similar motifs all over it.
Material & Care
The kurti and dupatta are made of chinon that is not only smooth but also extremely lightweight. Opt for hand-washing under cold water or go for dry cleaning to preserve the color and fabric texture for a long time. Since the gharara is made of brocade, it is resistant to wrinkles. However, don’t wring it and let it air dry after washing with mild detergent to prevent snagging and color fading.
